Dr. Amir Zarrabi has always had an interest in the biological sciences. Upon graduating from the University of Houston with a BS in Biology, he decided to pursue a Masters in Evolutionary Biology, focusing on harvester and fire ants. However, one day he had the realization that he didn’t want to spend the rest of his life working long lonely hours in the lab with ants. He longed for a more stimulating work environment, along with meaningful interactions with people, so he decided enter the more appealing and creative field of dentistry. He graduated from the New York University College of Dentistry in 2008. In his free time, Dr. Zarrabi enjoys the outdoors, traveling, hiking, camping, reading, photography, following Formula 1 racing, and cycling. He has participated in the MS150 since 2011 and plans to continue doing so.
